A little snippet from Dan Pink at The Pink Blog that I think is relevant to the UK as well as the US:
"The trouble is that much of [government's] education....seems designed more for the convenience of adults than for the education of children. If we reckon with that unpleasant truth and have an honest conversation that places our kids at the center of our efforts, we can make a lot of progress."
I particularly like the last point. Let's put learners at the centre of Education.
